Mentorship Program
Mentorship Program
Are you already a certified recreational diver seeking to enhance your skills, knowledge, and confidence in the water? If so, you're taking the first step toward self-awareness and recognizing that personal growth isn't solely achieved through certification courses.
One of the most challenging aspects of improvement is identifying where you need to grow. You may already have specific areas in mind, such as buoyancy and trim, breathing techniques, or weighting. Mentoring can help you achieve your goal of becoming a better diver.
The primary areas we can mentor you in include:
- Buoyancy control and breathing
- Finning techniques
- Trim and body positioning
- Correct weighting
- Situational awareness
- Being a better buddy and understanding team concepts
- Problem-solving
If there are other issues you wish to address, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss them.
**Workshops**
Our workshops are private and personalized, allowing you to work one-on-one with a mentor. Your mentor will start with an assessment and then tailor your session(s) based on your specific needs.
Since each mentoring program is different, we base our pricing on a per-session basis. After the initial assessment, we will recommend the necessary sessions, and the price will reflect this. Each session includes two dives.
**Assessment Process**
The assessment process can be simple—a conversation about the skills you want to improve—or more involved, requiring a dive together to pinpoint problem areas.
Our personalized training begins once we’ve identified your needs. Depending on the skill sets we plan to work on, additional land training or follow-up discussions may be required. Multiple days of diving may be necessary for in-depth skill development. Please note that mentoring sessions will not result in a certification; rather, they will make you a better, more confident diver with enhanced skills, experience, and knowledge.
If you have a regular dive buddy, we can accommodate you both in the mentoring workshops. In this case, training will be conducted in a format of two students with one mentor.
**Mentoring Summary:**
- In-person or online assessment
- Fully personalized, one-on-one mentoring
- Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours in the water
- Approximately 6 hours of total activity
- Cost per session: $200
**Training Locations:**
Under normal circumstances, we will train locally to both the mentor and the student. However, we understand that some students may want to train in different locations. We can accommodate such requests, but please note that there may be additional expenses involved depending on the distance.
